Peristaltic pump and constant flow pump are mainly used for accurate metering and conveying of Chinese and Western medicine liquid slurry and adhesive coupling agent required for granulation in spray drying granulator.

Spray drying granulator, also called one-step drying granulator and fluidized bed granulator, is a fluidized bed granulation equipment commonly used for the preparation of various granular instant materials. There are top spray, bottom spray and side spray. The purpose of spraying is to form particles, to coat particles evenly, and to achieve liquid evaporation and collect solid particles through spraying. These granulators have specific drying heat sources, which can evaporate water, but the relationship between water evaporation and particle formation is dynamic. Therefore, the amount of liquid and water to be sprayed must be very accurate to ensure a certain humidity of the particles, which is conducive to the perfect formation of particles.

Early spray drying equipment usually uses gear pumps and AC motors equipped with variable frequency speed regulators to achieve liquid supply and flow regulation. However, the gear pump encountered the following problems during the application process:

1. The structure of the gear pump determines that the liquid is easy to remain in the pump, which is not suitable for the cleanliness requirements of production.

2. The gears of the gear pump are easy to wear and the gear pump needs to be replaced regularly.

3. The overall cost of the frequency converter and gear pump is relatively high.

4. The flow regulation precision of the gear pump is poor.

The granulator manufacturer later applied Jieheng peristaltic pump to solve the above problems very well. Since the liquid transported by the peristaltic pump constant flow pump only contacts the hose, the cleanliness level is very high. In addition to the peristaltic pump hose, there are no other wearing parts. Only a short section of the hose on the peristaltic pump head needs to be replaced to continuously use for more than 500 hours, and the replacement takes less than 1 minute, which is very convenient and can be completed by the operator. The peristaltic pump has a very high accuracy in regulating the liquid, which can reach 0.5-1%, which is very conducive to the constant delivery of liquid during granulation and coating. After a long period of trial and comparison, Jieheng peristaltic pump products have met customer needs in many aspects such as appearance, accuracy and durability testing. Now almost all pelletizer manufacturers and end users are gradually replacing gear pumps with peristaltic pumps, which are more reliable and cleaner.
