The early spray drying equipment typically used gear pumps and AC motors equipped with frequency inverters to achieve the supply of liquid and flow regulation. However, gear pumps encountered the following issues during application:
1. The structure of gear pumps allows for easy retention of liquid within the pump, which is not suitable for production cleanliness requirements.
2. Gear pumps have a tendency to wear out their gears, requiring regular replacement of the gear pump.
3. The overall cost of the frequency inverter and gear pump is relatively high.
4. The flow regulation precision of gear pumps is poor.
Later on, manufacturers of granulator machines successfully addressed these issues by adopting JieHeng peristaltic pumps. Due to the design of peristaltic pumps, where the fluid only comes into contact with flexible hoses, the cleanliness level is extremely high.
