Characteristics of Hose Pumps Explained
The hose pump is actually a type of peristaltic pump. However, the pump tubes used in the peristaltic pumps we usually refer to are relatively small and have a lower flow rate. Peristaltic pumps are typically used for the transportation of small fluid volumes ranging from milliliters per minute to 50L per minute. These small-volume transports are often used to accurately regulate flow as constant flow pumps, enabling precise fluid measurement and delivery of various trace elements or high-viscosity and solid-containing liquids. On the other hand, peristaltic hose pumps are commonly used in industrial environments for fluid transportation between 1 cubic meter and 50 cubic meters. These liquids may exhibit properties such as high viscosity, strong corrosiveness, high temperature, and irregular solid particles. Therefore, the main difference between hose pumps and common peristaltic pumps lies in their larger pump tubes and pump volumes. Hose pumps can generate higher pressures up to 1.6MPa. The lifespan of the pump tubes used in hose pumps, which are consumables, is generally between 800-1000 hours. When replacing the pump tubes in a hose pump, it is more time-consuming and troublesome than in a peristaltic pump. Replacing the pump tubes in a peristaltic pump only takes a few seconds, while replacing them in a hose pump requires approximately 30 minutes to one hour due to the need to disconnect the inlet and outlet, drain the coolant, and disassemble various connecting parts.
Due to the fact that hose pumps are industrial process equipment, ensuring stable and high-quality low-cost industrial processes requires hose pumps to operate stably for a long time while achieving the goal of constant flow pumping. Therefore, a good hose pump needs to have the following characteristics:
1. Our pumps are equipped with high-quality geared motors instead of orbital pinion motors, ensuring smooth and quiet operation.
2. The pump body is made of cast steel and precision machined in a lathe, ensuring precise mechanical fit for the hose pump.
3. The rotor inside the pump body adopts a rolling pressure wheel design, with the pump chamber filled with coolant and lubricating fluid. The gap between the pressure wheels can be adjusted.
4. The output shaft of the reduction motor is tightly connected to the pump impeller, without any exposed or coupling components, resulting in a more compact and rugged design suitable for harsh environments.
5. The larger diameter of the JIH hose pump allows for lower rotational speeds to achieve the same flow rate, extending the lifespan of the pump tubes.
The JIH hose pump is a patented product developed by our company, drawing on the advantages of foreign advanced products and combining our years of experience in the field of peristaltic hose pumps. It meets the requirements for large flow rate, high temperature, high pressure, high viscosity, strong corrosiveness, low shear, solid-containing impurities, and abrasive liquid transportation. It revolutionizes the operation mode of traditional mechanical pumps and may be your only choice in certain process flows.
